Chief Data Officer – Amsterdam, Netherlands

My client who are a well-recognised leading financial services organisation are looking to recruit a Chief Data Officer to head a well-established global function.

Reporting directly into the COO you’ll be responsible for rolling out the Data Management Strategy across the group globally whilst ensuring that the standardised approach is aligned and adopted across each individual country.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design and drive the global data management strategy including governance, quality, architecture and organisational structure
  • Drive innovation by shaping vision and creating strategy to execute new data driven initiatives
  • Breaking down local barriers and challenges in order to ensure alignment across the organisation globally
  • Ownership of data architectures
  • Build relationships with C level counter-parties to align data management plans and investments
  • Support local data management directors

Requires Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience leading global teams
  • Expertise in Data Governance and Data Quality
  • Data Privacy knowledge
  • Proven experience managing MDM, BI, Data Warehouses and other data elements
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and approaches (e.g. DAMA, DCAM etc)
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of Customer Analytics, Policy Formation, Projects & Programme Management
